Fine Carpentry for Northeast Iowa Homes
Interior carpentry and trim work — baseboards, door and window casing, crown molding, built-in shelving, wainscoting, and custom woodwork — is the finish layer that defines how a home looks and feels inside. Quality interior carpentry done well is nearly invisible in the best way — everything fits, every joint is tight, and the overall effect is a home that feels polished and well-built.
What We Do
Trim installation: door and window casing, baseboard, crown molding, chair rail, and all standard interior millwork. Custom installation done to proper fit means miter joints that close tightly, coped inside corners that stay closed as wood moves seasonally, and consistent reveal dimensions throughout the room.
Built-in shelving and cabinetry: built-in bookshelves, window seats, mudroom storage systems, and custom cabinetry that is built to fit a specific space rather than assembled from pre-made components. Well-designed built-ins add significant value and function to a home.
Stair work: treads, risers, newel posts, balusters, and handrails for new staircase construction and renovation of existing stairs. A well-crafted staircase is one of the most prominent carpentry features in any home.
The Difference Craftsmanship Makes
Trim work done by a skilled carpenter looks effortlessly right. Trim work done by someone who does not do it regularly shows — in gaps at miters, inconsistent reveals, caulk gaps that widen within a year. Our crew does interior finish carpentry to a standard we are proud to put our name on.
